Lismore - History

The Island of Lismore has a rich and varied history, the island has been populated since neolithic times.

The island is rich in historical sites, from the ancient  bronze age cairns and a Pictish Broch, to 1000 year old castles, to the 19th Century Lismore Lighthouse.
